The 2016 North American Pro 70.3 Championships were this weekend in St. George, Utah.

A combination of a beautiful and honest race course, a larger points and prize purse or the pros, and a central location to both West Coast and Rocky Mountain residents, meant that the fields, both pro and age group, were stacked!

On the pro side, the likes of Ironman World Champions, Sebastian Kienele and Mirinda Carfrae were present, along with a who's who of top 70.3 athletes.

Three Timex pros took on this stacked field - Leon Griffin, Jeanni Seymour, and Justin Metzler. While Leon did not have the race he was looking for, Jeanni and Justin (the duo dubbed #metzlmour) had performances to write home about.

Jeanni (CO) was in the mix throughout the entire race. Out of the water near the front, keeping a 22+ MPH average on the bike, and running a 1:24:16 half marathon clinched a 6th place pro finish!

Justin (CO) was also in the mix all day. With a goal of going within the top 16, Justin managed to finish in 4:02:48, good enough for 13th overall, only a couple minutes out of the top 10.

Leon (CO) not having a "Leon Day", still managed to finish 18th.

On the Age Group side:

Susanne Davis took 1st in the F45-49 age group (2nd age grouper overall)

Ellen Hart took 3rd in the F55-59 age group

Leah Carrol grabbed 3rd in the F18-24 age group

Adam Olson finished 4th in the M25-29 age group

Sam Long of the Timex Factory Team has been on a roll lately. The UC Boulder student finished in a time of 4:12:43. 1st in the M18-24 age group and 2nd age grouper overall (19th overall with pros). Look for big things to come from this young athlete.
